I'm Ashley - wife to my construction working husband and mama to three adventurous littles (and a couple dogs and several chickens). I am a follower of Jesus, and obsessed with all things coffee - except when I'm pregnant, then I can't stand it. Trips to the North Shore or just about anywhere with a cabin in the woods truly fuels my heart, I'll never turn down sweet potato fries, and love cooking from scratch at home (most recently all things sourdough!).
I'm more of an introvert but I can pretty easily spend hours of an afternoon visiting with a good friend. I tend to prefer late nights binging FRIENDS reruns or a crime show while I work (I'm working on this, but I'm very much a night owl, and kids).
I'm passionate about documenting reality - from the biggest moments to the more mundane. I want to get to know all about you, and do your stories justice in my work. I want to capture moments in history that your grandkids will look back on and hold close. I want to show you the stories, beauty, worth, and art I see in you and your loved ones.
If you have a shared love for coffee or late nights, are also in the thick of parenthood, down to explore the outdoors, and allow me in to a piece of your story - I just might be your gal! Let's grab coffee!
"My mother never gave me any idea that I couldn't do what I wanted to do, or be whomever I wanted to be... I don't know if she realized that the person I most wanted to be like was her." Gilmore Girls
I was blessed with a short 25 years with my mom, before she passed away due to cancer. She modeled what it was to be a strong woman, mother, and daughter of God, and selflessly gave her all for her family. She was my biggest supporter, and always encouraged me to reach for my biggest dreams and put everything into the gifts God gave me.
Through the challenging past few years of loss, I have found a new perspective and joy for capturing all moments more emotionally and authentically. Speaking from experience, these moments can be so very fleeting, will mean so much to us down the road, and could become a true piece of comfort and joy when we need it most.
This is what I want for you. I want your moments to express the emotions, feeling, and realness of your story, and I want your story to be one you can hold onto and cherish in times of joy and also sadness.
